Windermere Abode 2024 Kickoff: Finding Your Voice
What a fun way to begin 2024. A big THANK YOU to Windermere Abode and Windermere Abode Lakewood for inviting me to speak at your 2024 Kickoff meeting!
The Abodies sure are a wonderful group of people, and everyone made me feel so welcome. It was so much fun being in a room full of real estate professionals ready to learn, share ideas, and start the new year with some fresh inspiration. My kind of gathering!
Find Your Voice = Win the Business!
My session was called "Find Your Voice = Win the Business (Insider Social Media Strategies From a Seasoned Pro)," and we went deeeeep on all things real estate social media marketing.
From building a successful social media strategy to finding your authentic voice and actually making time to create content, we covered quite a bit.
We talked about how to approach creating a successful social media plan, set measurable goals, and use those goals to guide your marketing strategy moving forward. Because there's a big difference between posting just to post and having a plan that actually supports your business. We also explored what your social media marketing needs to accomplish, how to measure success, and how to find the right balance of content.
And, of course, we got into plenty of specific ideas and real life examples for inspiration.
Another important part of our conversation was how to show up consistently while staying true to yourself. Your social media presence should help people get to know you, understand what you do, and see the value you bring as a real estate professional. And you don't have to sound or look like everyone else to make that happen.
But perhaps one of the biggest questions we tackled was how do you actually get it all done?!
Between serving clients, managing transactions, and everything else that comes with running a business, finding time for social media marketing can feel overwhelming. We discussed practical ways to manage your content, what to do when you're busy with clients, and how to start putting your ideas into action right away.
The goal? A social media strategy that's authentic to YOU, supports your business, and is something you can actually maintain.
More Training & Collaboration at Windermere Abode
The learning didn't stop when the official Kickoff wrapped up.
Afterward, we headed back to Windermere Abode's Old Town Tacoma office for more training and a mastermind-style gathering.
I love opportunities like these to connect with other real estate professionals, exchange ideas, ask questions, and continue the conversations beyond a formal presentation.
There really is so much value in hearing different perspectives and learning from one another. I especially love when conversations turn into brainstorming sessions, with everyone sharing their own experiences, challenges, and ideas. It's a wonderful reminder of how much we can learn from each other in this industry.
It's always exciting to see what new ideas come out of these conversations. Thank you again to everyone at Windermere Abode for having me!
A Little Art Appreciation
Okay, one more thing before I go. Can we talk about the ART at Windermere Abode's Old Town office?! I absolutely loooove these colorful portraits by artist Barry Johnson. I couldn't resist snapping a few photos.
Barry is a self-taught interdisciplinary artist whose work explores race, community, and culture. Learning more about the meaning behind his artwork made me appreciate it even more.
And after a day spent talking about finding your voice and expressing what makes you unique, it felt especially fitting to discover an artist doing just that in his own way.
